John is intrigued by old block prints - how the fill colors sort of bleed to create their own unique shape. A pattern within a pattern is created over a large piece of fabric in a deep madder red, outlined in gold with hints of soft blue on our natural linen cotton ground.
Our hand block printed fabrics are made by skilled artisans using hand carved wooden blocks and screens. As a part of the inherent beauty of the traditional craftsmanship, slight variations in color and design may occur, and pattern repeats are approximate.
