Trapunto creates a raised, sculptural effect by filling the design with batting after stitching, then carefully adjusting the fill and continuing to stitch. The result is a richly textured design with remarkable depth and dimension, bringing the artistry of handwork to life in a way that feels both timeless and unexpected.

Fine woven, durable cotton cambric fabric. Smooth hand feel and breathable. Coverlets are machine quilted and display a dimensional design. Sham has envelope closure. Euro has hidden zipper closure. Shams and Euros are sold individually.

Story

John Robshaw developed a fascination with printmaking and traditional block printing early in life. After college, his travels through India became the inspiration behind John Robshaw Textiles. Captivated by the country’s centuries old textile traditions, including hand stitching, hand quilting, hand painting and hand block printing, Robshaw immersed himself in the crafts, learning directly from artisans while experimenting with traditional techniques and developing his own distinctive style.
