The Nandi Quilts are block printed by hand on pure cotton voile, our softest, lightest quilt, now available in a coffee stripe. Ever since John first became obsessed with block printing, he has been drawn to simple stripes. The lines fade and move in a way that's similar to hand drawing, paying homage to old school India. Please note there is always some color variation with block printing.

Story

Rooted in the rich textile traditions of Rajasthan, these hand block printed striped quilts celebrate the artistry of Indian craftsmanship passed down through generations. Created using intricately carved wooden blocks, each stripe is printed by hand onto soft cotton fabric, layer by layer, with remarkable precision and care. The subtle irregularities and tonal variations are a testament to the human hand behind every piece.

Once printed, the quilts are meticulously hand quilted by artisans using traditional stitching techniques that add texture, durability, and warmth. The rhythmic rows of stitching not only hold the layers together but also create a beautifully tactile finish that reflects the time and skill invested in every quilt.

Only 2 quilts can be block printed per day, and each quilt takes 1 day to be stitched.
