This hand painted tiger comes from 'Iqbal Tiger', an artist who learned the art of painting tigers from his father and has made the animal his specialty. Each tiger is painted individually, so no two are ever quite alike, from the stripes and stance to the wonderfully expressive faces. This fellow, with his bright yellow coat, curling tail, and slightly toothy grin, has plenty of personality and seems to know it.

Story

John has a soft spot for these hand painted animal tapestries, collecting a menagerie from a favorite studio in Jaipur over his trips to India. Each one is painted by hand using traditional mineral pigments, bringing a wonderfully colorful world of elephants, tigers, birds, and other creatures to life. No two are exactly alike, with all the charming quirks and character that come from the artist’s hand.
